What Does Being Authentic Really Mean? With Jana Puisa

Be authentic. Find your purpose. Prioritise personal growth.

The message we receive is clear, keep improving yourself.

How do you do this, and be content with where you are, at the same time?

I invited Jana Puisa, to come in and firstly, explain these fancy terms, which are buzz words thrown around a lot, and secondly to tell us why they’re important and how to use them in daily life.

Jana Puisa is a certified life coach, meditation teacher and people professional. She has been coaching since 2014, and has over 10 years’ experience working in leadership, training and coaching roles. She believes that we have all the answers inside of us, but often we need a little help to learn how to start listening and paying attention to ourselves.

I love her approach, because it’s all about simplicity and slowing down.

She gives us a way to be everything you want to be, and do everything you want to do, without burning yourself out in the process.

In this episode, Jana shares her point of view on authenticity, what it means and how to put it into practice.

She gives her take on energy level (and time!) management.

Jana kindly explains how we’ve ended up over-complicating life, becoming too busy and consequently always draining or leaking our energy. She goes into the physical, mental and emotional effects this has on us. Jana offers tips and methods we can use to find our way out of these patterns.

As a Meditation teacher, Jana talks to us about different types of meditation and how it differs to Mindfulness.

At the time of recording, Jana was 7 months pregnant. She was recently diagnosed with a condition during her pregnancy, which she generously opens up about, hoping that anyone else in the same position can find comfort and support.

Finally, we talk about her 50 day challenge! Jana started a 50 days of being selfish challenge on her last birthing. Listen in to find out all about it, and how she’s inspired me to do the same! Stay posted, I’ll be starting in March and you’re welcome to join me!
