What is Yoga?
There are many definitions and interpretations of yoga. In Sanskrit, yoga means “union”, or literally, “to yoke”. Yoga is the union of the body and the mind with the divine, the universal energy, the infinite.
Nowadays, especially for those of us living in the western world, yoga means many different things. It can be anything from an active sports session, meditation, a moment to re-energise or even just time to disconnect from the rest of the world and reconnect with yourself. Whatever definition we use, it will always remain a tool to improve our well-being.
