From Yoga Nidra to Home Birthing, with Cristina Guerra

These are just a few things that can be achieved with Yoga Nidra. Commonly known as Yogic Sleep, and sleep does tend to happen, especially when you’re a tired mum….Yoga Nidra is a very specific practice that focuses on your intention and purpose, and re-wires your brain along the way.

This week, Cristina Guerra takes us through Yoga Nidra. I love this technique because it’s so simple to receive. She tells us all about what it is, how it works and how it can help.

Cristina Guerra is a yogi, an artist, a teacher, a trainer a post-natal doula, and a holistic therapist between many witchcrafts. She spent the last 12 years delivering yoga and coaching in South East Asia, Australia, and Amsterdam, and now is back in her home country, Portugal. She gives support to anyone who wants to relieve stress, pain, insomnia or gain mental or emotional clarity. She guides people into finding their life’s purpose and bringing it to manifestation.

Apart from Yoga Nidra, we also talk about home births. Cristina and I know each other from our yoga teaching days in Amsterdam, and we both had home births. We discuss how mine was in The Netherlands, a country where the medical system supports homebirths, whereas she had hers in Portugal, were they’re not supported.

To have the birth of her dreams, Cristina did something incredibly scary and brave….and like most brave things that people do, some people applauded her and some people were very pissed off!
